CADTCP has two subsidiary professional services branches. The National Problem Solving Court Institute (NPSCI) and the National Research and Evaluation Institute (NREI).

CADTCP’s NPSCI provides multidisciplinary technical assistance and training to those interested in planning, implementing and establishing Drug Treatment Courts and Problem Solving Courts. The NREI facilitates the identification, exchange and dissemination of best practices for Drug Treatment Court research and evaluation.

CADTCP publishes three newsletters annually i.e. the Drug Treatment Court news newsletter; a general Problem Solving Court newsletter prepared by NPSCI and a best practices newsletter prepared by NREI

CADTCP is committed to efforts designed to ensure the establishment of adequately funded and resourced Drug Treatment Courts across Canada. The CADTCP has established a National Advocacy Committee (NAC) for the purpose of working towards achieving this important objective. NAC is made up of a group of concerned and interested volunteers. CADTCP also supports the expansion of adequately resourced Problem Solving Courts across Canada.

Successful Drug Treatment Court participants help increase public safety, result in tax savings to the tax payer for example, savings in criminal justice, incarceration, health care and other societal costs. Successful Drug Treatment Court participants help increase family stability and in many instances provide additional tax revenue from employment.

CADTCP is committed to ensuring the long term recovery of Drug Treatment Court Graduates. In addition to encouraging and facilitating graduate participation in the aftercare programs across Canada, the CADTCP‘s National Alumni Committee, a group of volunteer Drug Treatment Court Alumni, provide a forum of support and encouragement to other Drug Treatment Court graduates. Drug Treatment Court Graduates continue to support and encourage each other on face book and on the special alumni site at www.cadtc.org.
